What to Expect at Your Appointment
At Live Strong Physio, every appointment is designed to give you clarity, confidence, and a clear path forward — so you can get back to the moments that matter. Here’s what a typical session looks like:
1. Understanding Your Story
We start by listening. Your physiotherapist will ask detailed questions about your symptoms, history, lifestyle, and goals to understand what’s holding you back — and what you’re aiming to return to.
2. Orthopaedic Testing & Assessment
Using the most current evidence-based orthopaedic tests, we’ll assess how your body moves and identify the root cause of your issue. This includes strength, range of motion, joint function, and movement pattern testing — all grounded in clinical research.
3. Clear Diagnosis
Combining objective testing with years of clinical experience, your senior physiotherapist will provide a clear diagnosis and explain what’s going on in terms you can understand.
4. More investigation or support
If required, your physiotherapist can provide referrals for further investigations such as ultrasound or xray, to get a more definitive diagnosis.
5. Tailored Treatment Plan
We’ll work with you to develop a plan that suits your lifestyle and goals. This includes how often we’ll see you, what kind of exercises you’ll do at home, and the types of treatment that will be used to support your recovery.
6. Hands-On Treatment
Your session will include hands-on therapy tailored to your needs — such as joint mobilisations, manipulations, massage, dry needling, acupuncture, or shockwave therapy — all supported by the latest clinical evidence.
7. Exercise Prescription & Education
You’ll leave with a simple, personalised exercise program to reinforce what we’ve done in the clinic. We’ll also help you understand your condition and what to expect, so you feel confident and in control of your recovery.
8. Next Steps & Progress Tracking
Before you leave, we’ll book your follow-up (if needed), review your home program, and outline the next steps in your recovery journey — always with the goal of getting you back to doing what you love.
